I am wondering what to write. I am working at a different branch this morning so can see that online word processing would be very useful in a situation like ours were branches are many kilometer apart.It would mean that you can keep on working, at which ever branch you are at, without happening to forward the information to which ever site you are at.

Wikis

Wikis are a new way of sharing information. I have used the wikipedia to find information on diffrent subjects. Down side is sometimes you need to do further checking of information.I really like the book lover wiki. Nice to read other peoples thoughts about books you have read .

Library 2.0

Working in a country branch library, a lot of our borrower are retired and they come to the local library for recreational reading. . At our branch we have one public internet computer. Learning 2 relies on library users having access to the internet at home , which many still do not have or access at there public library.

Tagging

I must be hopelessly old fashion I don't use the internet for much more than e-mail and banking,though I can see internet orginated people using site like del.icio.us. and finding tagging very useful, I don't think it is a site I would use.

technology

I don't think I am a person who enjoys bloging, flickr etc, working in a one person branch with no time away from the circulation desk, I don't have a lot of time for internet activities, and this is something I wouldn't do at home.

Have uploaded a picture from my picture folder. Will try and take photo's of the library and upload them. Will need to bring a camera from home as the library doesn't have one
